After two decades of absence The Vaselines return with their legend very much in tact. 'Sex With An X' sees the Glaswegian indie heroes return following their 1989 split (announced the very week their debut album was released). Lifted from the forthcoming album of the same title, 'Sex With An X' would seem to give a telling account of the emotions behind reunions like this: "Feels so good, it must be bad for me/Let's do it, let's do it again". Well, it sounds pretty great too, coming across as an optimistic bolt from more innocent times in indie-dom. B-side 'Roaster' is worth adding to your collection too; it's a non-album track that's rather more aggressive, pelting through layers of guitar fuzz and snarl.
