Oh gosh. Deep Medi come to crumble your foundations with a super-heavyweight double pack by V.I.V.E.K, following the acclaimed triple disc album from Mala. If medical science is working towards some form of non-invasive treatment using ultrasonic therapy, we think they should really enlist the services of this fella. With the title track he hits a frequency that's just made my armpits tingle (that doesn't happen often), and sustains it until any atom within proximity is quivering with kinetic potential. We sh*t you not, this is seriously strong stuff, think Loefah's 'Goat Stare' plus four years of militant dread research and you're there. Meanwhile on the flip 'Grandfather Clock' concentrates on overweight drum pressure coupled with evil rave signals like a swarm of hornets ready to protect their nest, before 'Motherland' follows with melancholy Indian vocal samples and tippin' tabla drums, of course bolstered with finely sculpted subs, and then 'Strategy' scuttles into a warm and melodic 2-step vortex. Proper, true skool dubstep, not to be missed.
