Austrian duo, Gregor Ladenhauf and Daniel Kohlmeigner have set out a series of unique tech-house tracks for Compost's Black Label series and Rotary Cocktail over the last few years. Released through Parisian label, Affine, 'Aery' goes a notch deeper into their world, balancing their frivolous affectations with classy deep house elements. The wide subs and minimised rhythms intro of 'Dark Aery' soon give way to more weirder synth arrangements, while 'Night Aery' jives with vocal snippets reminding of Jamie Lidell mixed with Hand On The Plow party vibes, 'Day Aery' aligns a bristling modern house groove splayed with all kinda odd synth motifs and 'Light Aery' rounds off on an elegant, Latin tucked rhythm reminding of Luciano.
