kryptic minds - Wasteland / Hybrid
The Kryptic Minds skulk out on two tracks of optimised and ultra-reduced dubstep for their homegrown Osiris Music imprint. One of the greatest skills of these two is their knack for imbuing the sparsest halfstep with seriously dynamic movement. 'Wasteland' is the case in point, creating a hulking minimalist killer with the slightest percussive shuffles made to orchestrate bodies while scaring them witless with gothically sci-fi synth strokes. 'Hybrid' eanwhile is built around a more complex mechanism of sliding rhythmic gears with acres of space for ghoulish darkside motifs to cut loose. Heavy sh*t!
