This is a never-before released record from one of the foremost collectives of New York's Downtown music scene of the early 1980s. Despite being slated for a release of Josh Bauer and Glenn Branca's Neutral Records, this album has remained unavailable up to this point - a fact made all the more surprising by the knowledge that the band included early members of Sonic Youth and Rhys Chatham's ensemble. On this recording you'll also hear guest spots from Elliott Sharp and Sue Hanel of Swans, which further entrenches the record in NYC's vibrant no-wave and avant-rock scenes. By turns rhythmic, angular and highly experimental this remains a compelling document, and The Social Registry have shown due reverence in their treatment of the release, remastering the music from its original tapes and coupling it with an additional remix LP, featuring contributions from the likes of David Last and Criterion.
