asc - Nothing Is Certain
After 10 years of impressive releases for Offshore, Good Looking and Covert Operations, ASC drops his new album on Instra:mental's excellent Nonplus Records. With 'Nothing Is Certain' he's created a defining moment for the Autonomic canon, focussed on glowing, far-eastern electro-referencing melodies and agile modern tech-step programming. For the 3x12" vinyl he's pared the tracklist down to six essentials, also featuring contributions from Consequence and Vaccine. From the dystopian sci-fi sweeps of 'Absent Mind' to the tempered drama of 'Fade Away Seasons' feat. Consequence on the first disc, through to the abyssal halfstep of 'The Depths' and his glistening 'Opus' effort with Vaccine, this is an assured display of D'n'B futurism.
