clouds - Protecting Hands (Geiom / Isan Mixes)
Superb remix twelve from Deep Medi, inviting Geiom and Isan to revise Clouds' 'Protecting Hands' from last year. We'll admit to being more than a little stunned that Isan were appearing on Deep Medi but it really makes sense when you compare the similarities between their fragile electronics and Clouds' piquant take on dubstep. Their remix is respectfully bass-loaded, aiming for the early-hours dancefloor with richly harmonised subs balancing their flyaway hi-hats and crystalline melody up floating across the surface. Fellow IDM/tronica hero Geiom takes the flipside with his electro-sticky halfstep mix, strafing away from the Funky for a hot minute to exercise some hefty bass muscle on a highly successful version of 'Protecting Hands'. Lush.
