Superb stuff from Von D, following up his debut 'Bon' with two thrilling rollers for Argon. Arched between the house-inspired exuberance of Joy Orbison and Martyn's techno driven swing, 'Nouvelle Histoire' has to be the bet thing we've heard on this label since his previous 12". Meanwhile, 'Berlin Call' on the flip shows why his tracks have been signed to Chef's Subfreq imprint and rinsed out by Skream and Tes La Rok with a display of flash synthlines and subbass turbulence that can only be achieved by a certain few.
