Veteran UK techno servant Aubrey revisits his fiercely heavy 'Dark' track from 2001 backed with a pair of utterly sick remixes from Pendle Coven and Mike Parker. The original version is a Basic Channel-debted beast, crafting a cavernous techno standard with biting dub chord stabs and skipping hi-hat patterns to offset the juggernaut bass throb. On the flip, Pendle Coven sound like they're relishing the remix experience, locking into a raw, intuitive, and on-the-fly styled revision, rearranging the elements into a caustic mass of burred metallic synth scrapes before Mike Parker has his way, offsetting the kicks with a crooked anti-funk style to jar the floor.
