Dj Food return with another 12"s of stewed samples and breakbeat arrangments housed in typically luxurious sleeve with artwork/poster from Openmind. 'Sentinel (Shadow Guard)' swerves with a gritty psyche-groove built from tumbling breakbeats and fuzz-toned bass, before 'Extracts From Stolen Moments Too' plucks out choice jazz noir and film dialogue samples like it's 1998 all over again and 'Brother John' pays tribute to the distinctive voice of John Rydgren, a legendary US radio host who many compare to Ken Nordine. On the flip we find an extended instrumental psyche-beat jam on 'Giant' and a gloomy, cinematic version of 'Sentinel (lunar Defence)'. For fans of DJ Shadow, Mr Scruff and Coldcut.
