Wonderfully odd stuff from the Mordant camp courtesy of Sii, Mr. Maxted, Baron Mordant and Vindicatrix, with a little help from their mates. Vindicatrix has to be the hero of the show, following up his awesome 'Die Alten Bösen Lieder' 12" with the Tin Man-meets-David Sylvian deviance of 'Sirocco Swirl' featuring Mordant Music. There's certainly no category for this music and that's just the way it should be! The Baron also crops up on the ferric-affected kosmiche trip 'Roehampton By Day' with the talented Mr Maxted, while the arcane pulse of 'Dire Straits' will get the weirdos jacking off and the group effort of Sii's 'Out Of The Blues' (reMMix) leaves a peculiarly affecting taste in our ears. Thank f*ck for Mordant Music, this is just great.
