Men of the cloth in all but name, The Bishops are the latest band to emerge from London's much invigorated music scene - with their status as NME darlings seemingly a birth right... Comprised of the Bishop brothers (Mike & Pete) and Chris McConville on drums, the band draw inspirations from all over - citing The Everly Brothers, Chuck Berry, The Who, the Kinks and Love as key components in their sound. What you actually get is something that sounds a bit like Supergrass' 'Caught By The Fuzz', but given the ramshackle treatment that befits the Doherty generation. Meanwhile over on the back 'In The Night' does much of the same, but gives it a back flip of Blur to keep "na-na-na" heads happy. Harold!
