cluekid / ld - I Dont Wanna Cry
Two of the dubstep scene's finest come together for two tracks of heavyweight dubstep junglism. Both producers are well noted for their individual and influential takes on the dubstep sound, with LD molding the very essenc of the thing at Transition and Cluekid fervently burrowing deeper into bassline science with his ace Bullfrog Beats label. On 'Don't Cry For Me' they hark back to the early days of jungle, not the ragga kind, but the floating hardcore influenced sound of Foul Play, Randall or LTJ Bukem, given a dubstep overhaul and sent off marching to the dance. On the flip 'Jupiter 9' takes a tuffer route with trickier rhythm edits and killer snares, showing the similarities in pattern and attitude of dubstep and jungle. Sick stuff, recommended to all the dancers!
