Midi Meets Chan 'N' Mikes

A well thought out (if somewhat demented...) double pack here from the Midtonal and Chan'n'Mikes mob featuring a couple of roster stalwarts in the shape of Carsten Rechenberger and Recall 8, as well as a brand new bunch of chancers (there words, not ours!) called the Flying Lurinsky's. Occupying the first slab of black is the tried and tested sounds of the aforementioned Rechenberger and Recall 8 as well as Michael Forshaw, Sahsen Horst and Queaver & Versis, with the likes of Forshaw's 'Dumb' hammering home a towering inferno of concrete rhythms, rising crescendos and monochrome electronics. Making sure things don't get too staid, Queaver & Versis stick a caffeine enema into James Brown's 'Sex Machine' for the kind of breathless romp that will have you either weeping with joy or disgust, whilst the Flying Lurinskys (aka Michael Forshaw and Rubadub’s very own Dan Monox) batter you into submission with a high-camp techno romp ('Frogger'), a tender love song ('Drink from the Hairy Cup'!) and a Ye Olde moan about the onset of new technology ('The Luddites'). Classified as 'techno-wonk' by those involved, prolonged exposure will have you feeling a bit sea-sick if not thoroughly amused...
