Utilising a much wider palette of sound than the majority of the steppers fraternity, Timeblind draws upon his expansive knowledge of techno, electronics and dub science on labels from Plus 8 to Orthlong Musorck to craft some of the most ingenious interpretations of low-end pressure currently doing the rounds. 'Copy Copy' bumps a Loefah sized bass under plucked violin strings and dub stabs evolving into a widescreen dub vision giving the sounds acres of space to skank and bounce. 'Ontological ground of being' ups the ante with ideas of sonorous bass hits and quick-stepping angular breaks honed into a rigid stop-start rhythm literally given fluidity through intermittent samples of pouring water. Rightously caned by Kode 9 and anyone else with an ear for the finest forward thinking riddims, and given the much respected seal of approval from DJ/Rupture this is one heavy statement we should all adhere to.
