posthuman - Monsters & Vortices
With all the B12 retrospectives out of the way the label moves forward with a new release from UK electronica heroes, Posthuman. If you've been following UK techno or electro for the last 10 years you'll no doubt be familiar with their now classic releases for Skam's Smak series and their own Seed imprint. They've been quiet for a while now but 'Monsters & Vortices' is their well timed return to the fray after some self-released digital only tracks available last year. This EP shows the duo to be in top health, knocking out one killer track of Lory D strength acid techno, an Ardisson styled electroid skipper, and one properly fresh technohouse groover with an occluded synthline spirit beamed directly from the shadows of a tube rave in 2003. They've kept something very fresh about their sound while keeping an old school spirit meaning you should be checking this release asap. Tip!
