starkey / jamie vex'd - Miracles (Jamie Vex'd Remix)
Starkey's 'Miracles' is probably our favourite track from his 'Ephemeral Habits' LP so we're very pleased to take stock of this single featuring a heavy pressing of the original backed with the blinding white light synths of the Jamie Vex'd remix. 'Miracles' confirms Starkey's position as a business-class manufacturer of grimy rave steppers, if you needed any more confirmation, but it's Jamie Vex'd's remix that has got us and the rest of the Dubstep devouring public gagging for a copy of this single. Starting with what sounds like a sample of Daphne Oram pottering around in the Radiophonic Workshop, Jamie plugs directly into an electrified mass of spiking synthlines, morphing drums and purified subbass pressure that should baffle and excite any dancefloor it's deployed on, without fail. Just peep the samples and get into it. Sick!
