To glibly sum up Kotchy's ouevre, imagine Jamie Lidell doing Starkey styled dubstep and synthgrime and you're there. He's obviously got a good set of ears on him, picking up a minibus load of his mates and current hotsh*t to remix his tracks for the 'I'd Have To Be High EP' on Civil music. Perennial techno oddity Hrdvision starts up with a breakbeat and sci-fi synthline version of 'A Superstar', before The Chap rewire 'Check Out My Keychain' with a seriously tight flicker of 2-step rhythms sounding a little like 'Last Exit' era Junior Boys. Which is the opposite to Debruit's banging B-More skweee remix and Dev79's brilliant subs driven grime stepper rerub. Ace.
