Poised as a precursor to the second installment of the Round Black Ghosts series, Pole drops 12"s of Berlin style dubstepXtechno experimentation on his ~scape outlet. Stefan Betke is perfectly placed for further exploration of the connections between the Berlin/London/Bristol sound and his native Berlin bass scene, with his idiosyncratic devotion to odd dub sounds and massive subbass pressure combined into a techno format on 'Alles Gute', running at a Berlin-club-friendly 129bpm and weaving a folded sleeparchive style bassline through queer sounding dub ephemera pushed into all corners of the groove. 'Alles Klar' on the flip has a slightly more orthodox dubstep rhythm albeit at a reduced tempo, placing emphasis on the big snare-on-the-third, but combines this with well processed post-rock/indie guitar licks, coming across like Distance's Teutonic cousin.
