the unknown soldier - Gone But Not Forgotten EP
The Unknown Soldier (M.I.A.) drops his new 12" on UR, 'Hesitation' also featured on the UR 7", but here you get a class loud cut of the track, looped acidic synths and a solid techno beat delivers a classic UR by numbers cut that does its job as a WMD of the dancefloor. The b-side harbours 'Homecoming' a different track to the 7", and a semi industrial bomb that creates a brilliant shuffle with the beats and subtle synths that are tightly programmed together, this is the standout for me as it digs that little deeper and is closer to the UR sound of old. Ace.
