It seems that Chocolate Industries have got their breath back (sh*t
together) after a relatively quiet year. This is the preview 12" from
the forthcoming debut album from Diverse, titled 'One A.M.'. Diverse's
vital raps have been leaking out of Chocolate for quite some time via
hits such as 'Move','Certified' and of course 'Wylin' Out' with Mos Def
and Prefuse 73. Back to the present, 'Explosive' kicks the hefty fonk
tip with Lyrics Born hitting the megakool Soleside's flow on top of
another RJD2 blaxploitation soundtrack - baad. On the flip Madlib brings
the sickness on 'Ain't Right'. Wild channel hoping sonics, dirty buzz
bass, off-key vocal samples and dusted snare beats. Extra versions are
in street, inst, acapella & clean versions - plus RJD2's mini
scratchappela bonus. Top, plus it's housed in best cover of the month,
ping pong action and spot gloss splashes. Dope.
