» Not on Campaign (31)Butterz land a special, one-sided '20,000 Miles Later Mix' of Swindle's 'Air Miles' ruckus. Built for instant effect, it dangerously swings between signature sweet boogie and almost Bad Company-style madness with a wild-eyed and deranged effect. Hyper-boogie grime madness!
Wiley's eski crew protege and RBMA graduate, Danielle Gooding aka Flava D debuts on Butterz with fresh garage/grime pressure. 'Hold On' is lushed out and swinging club gear with slicing hi-hats and tidy hooks; 'Home' gets down to business on a jacking 4/4 eased off with sweet keys and ruffed-up with technoid bass jabs.

*Yellow Vinyl* Exceptional, radioactive road-soul from Grime overlord, Terror Danjah. Linking with his and Champion's vocalist of choice, Ruby Lee Ryder, 'Let Me Be The One' is a nearly overwhelming payload of strings, neuro-Grime synths and that inimitable rhythmic swerve flinging us from electrifying peaks to hardcore ruffness and heartburst emotion practically every 16 bars. The production is outrageously tight, and fully exposed for all in the extended instrumental. If like us you loved his 'Dark Crawler' album last week, this is a no brainer. Big tip!

Still the most exciting dancefloor producer in the UK, Hackney's Champion does the business on his eagerly awaited twsyt-out 'Crystal Meth'. The restlessly kinetic spirit of the hardcore continuum is in assured but trigger-happy hands here, harnessing heavy duty Grime drums and a murderous, frenzied synthline with peerless Funky/Bassline vigour. 'Speed' is no less fierce, winding up carnival-ready polyrhythms with rotten bass, plushest synth chords and a skanking breakdown to mek havoc in the dance. F**k the neighbours, play these LOUD!
Fruity hypersoul from two of Grime and Dubstep Funk's leading lights. Swindle's hard-swinging monster 'Pineapple' is on the A-side and just owns it, having first appeared on Elijah & Skilliam's Rinse mix CD and now comes packed with thrice your RDA of GM synth funk. On a greasier tip, Swindle and Silkie's 'Unlimited' offers a wicked soul-powered slyde-and-roll Boogie-stepper. Big twelve!

Butterz assert their status as the world's pre-eminent Grime label with arguably their biggest release to date. 'I Am' is also one of Trim's best cuts to date, showcasing a honest maturity and lyrical craft that his fans have always been aware of, and gives any naysayers no excuses now. It appears in three versions, riding TRC's summer-vibin' 'Skippin' Rope' riddim on the orginal, next to a slightly tougher, snappier mix from rising star Preditah. Flipside you'll find the the hi-Tech street funk of 'Notice Now' produced by Terror Danjah cohort, D.O.K. Tip!
P Money heads up Butterz' first vocal release with the unshakeably infectious 'Boo You' backed with Royal T retooled Garage remix. For the original P rides an augmented version of TRC's 'Oo Aa Ee' riddim from BRW001, padded out with extra subs and skipping 2-step vibes for wicked impact. Royal T's 'I <3 Garage' remix is essentially the instrumental, primed for the DJs. BIG.
Next level grimy soul from the Butterz camp! The schizoid skunky switch of 'Mood Swings' is Grade A dancefloor dirt, flipping from super-sweet intro to pneumatic bass pulses and electroid Dubstep signatures with a Grime sense of swagger and straight-to-the-head deliverance.
Certified Grime killers from the youthling Royal T, hitting up the 7th release for the very excellent Butterz label. The ruffneck and wickedly darkside-tinted 'Orangade' was apparently created after Silencer claimed Gucci Mane's 'Lemonade' was the best Grime tune at the moment, causing Southampton's 20 year old Royal T to respond in deadly style. On the flip the harder, Breaks-driven 'The Whistle Song' gets a look in, while a slickly suspended Devil mix of 'Music Please' closes the side. Rude.
Starkey, Swindle and Royal-T on the remix session for Terror Danjah, pressed on clear vinyl for the fiends! Dominating the A-side, Starkey spaces out the original with his unique brand of louche robotic funk, while the the flipside goes in more of a Breaks-driven direction with Swindle's balance of darkside rave and chunky rollers beats, and Royal-T's cartoonish, 'Ardcore-spiked version.
Trailing his 'anthemic 'Golden Axe' EP, D.O.K drops a pair of weigthy halfstep funk joints. The fruity purple vibes of 'Chemical Planet' goes in with super slick riffage on the A-side, but we shoudl realy divert you attention to the flip, a killer number called 'Keep On Making Grime' with a nasty line in flared basslines and dextrous halfstep chops like his regular spar, Terror Danjah. Check this one!
Butterz drops its second release, featuring full fat tracks from Terror Danjah, SRC, Royal-T, and Mr. Mitch. We find Terror Danjah in menacing form on 'Creepy Crawler', keeping it slow and swagger with bilious stabs and is signature gremlin kinks. Royal-T meanwhile follows his massive '1UP or Shatup' EP with a minimal yet propulsive instrumental while SRC offers the highlight with the 8-Bit Mid-Eastern melodics of 'Goomba VIP' and Mr. Mitch brings the party ADD styles on 'Skittles'. Much fun!
Terror Danjah straight kills it on the first drop from the much anticipated Butterz imprint. The label's run by DJ Elijah Butterz, one of half of the critically respected Elijah & Skilliam DJ team from Rinse FM, whose regular show contains a boggling number of grime exclusives on a weekly basis. They've picked well for their first drop, selecting two fierce Terror Danjah cuts backed with a D.O.K remix of his legendary 'Sidechain' punisher. 'Bipolar' ignites the A-side with a colourful contrast of ultra-funked riffage and darkside gangsta bass, like Herbie Hancock meets Bad Company maybe, wh… Read more

**Edition of 150 copies with etched runout groove and sticker** Wickedest white label heat from the Butterz fam! Up top Terror Danjah unleashes rolling congas and nastier, near neuro D&B-styled bass synth in belly tucked syncopation on 'Breakdance', all seared with the sweetest G-Funk melodies. However, the big shotter lies on the flip, where the Hardrive boss mashes his classic 'Morph' into P Jam's stone cold 'Anger Management' classic to shockout effect. T.I.P!

**New blue vinyl edition** The biggest Grime riddim of the last year, finally available on vinyl and backed with a DJ Q remix!!! A-side features the bubbling 808s and shark-eyed synths of 'Woooo Riddim' straight up, sounding as lean, futuristic and skunked-out as every time you've heard it on the bus, youtube or soundcloud. D Double E may be missing but this riddim goes hard regardless. On the flip DJ Q's remix lends a flush of feminine, twinkled-toed synths and cut-up vocals for the club. It's possibly symptomatic of the times that it's taken so long to land on wax, but Butterz have just made a lot of grime heads very, very happy with this pressing. Essential!

VIP sounds from Swindle and Royal T on a blink-n-miss white label (200 copies)! Riding high right now, Royal T comes fresh from remixing Katy B, Wiley, Kano, Wretch 32, and Mz Bratt to drop a mad excitable version of 'Orangeade', stuffed with extra drum and samples to mek 'em wile out. Flipside Swindle cools out his 'Mood Swings' joint with a flush of twinkling boogie keys before switching up with darkside neuro stabs for that nice-but-nasty effect. This won't be available as a digital release so act fast if you want one!!!
*Vinyl version with bonus DOK edit of 'Oo Aa Ee'*. P Money heads up Butterz' first vocal release with the unshakeably infectious 'Boo You' backed with Royal T's retooled Garage remix. For the original P rides an augmented version of TRC's 'Oo Aa Ee' riddim from BRW001, padded out with extra subs and skipping 2-step vibes for wicked impact. Terror Danjah's regular co-producer, D.O.K also steps up to close with a razored and rewired edit of TRC's original 'Oo Aa Ee' for the dance. BIG.
BIG drop from Butterz, unloading the infamous S-X vs Ramadanman killer 'WooooGlut' backed with S-X's original 'Bricks'. Everyone with a digital copy has had it on a 90º rinse cycle since last summer, we even caught Kode 9 - sporting a Yellow & Black T-shirt - putting it through its paces at the weekend just gone, and it officially turned up on Ram's recent Fabriclive session. Flipside, you'll find S-X's 'Bricks', a dramatically synth-heavy and triplet-filled instrumental crusher destined to ruin clubs everywhere in the coming months. B I G.

The schizoid skunky switch of 'Mood Swings' is Grade A dancefloor dirt, flipping from super-sweet intro to pneumatic bass pulses and electroid Dubstep signatures with a Grime sense of swagger and straight-to-the-head deliverance. 'Bebop' is cheekier' swinging out with zoot-suited riffage and Swindle's supremely crafty beat programming for a unique and damn effective Grime evolution.
