This new single on Static Caravan features two extended psych rock outings coupled with brief, electronic drone intro pieces, which only complicate your grasp on what it is St Just Vigilantes are up to. In the full, fuzzy pelt of 'For The Angel In The Angle', splashy, driving riffs conjure up a kind of fuzzed up shoegaze sound while occasional blurts of vocal augment the distorted tangle of strings. For Rose Grenades there's a glockenspiel theme running through the piece that sets off a bit of a Goblin-type feel, although the guitars flood all over the mix with a Spacemen 3-like wave of noise.

**Clear Vinyl** In addition to the new Xela 10", this week sees Static Caravan and blackmaps (a new label out of Tokyo/London) offer up a highly limited (100 copies) lathe cut 7" from avant-folk outfit St. Just Vigilantes, who follow-up last year's Pastor Of Oaks, Shepherd Of Stones album with a thrilling new pair of occult-ish jams.
