Living, livid legends Masami 'Merzbow' Akita and Lasse Marhaug have been trading blows since the mid-90s: significant releases have included the split single 'First Rock' in 2001, and a number of live collaborations, usually featuring other artists - such as Jim O'Rourke and Hair Stylistics. Mer Mar is their first recording together as a duo, made at GOK Sound Studios in Tokyo in 2010.
