lindstrom - Breakfast In Heaven Remixed (diskJokke / ARP Mix)
The Nordic disco impresario returns with a new remixes 12", featuring "Breakfast In Heaven' overhauls by Smalltown Supersound acts diskJokke and Arp. The latter is far and away the more appealing of the two, transplanting the familiar timbres of Lindstrom's space disco drums into a web of beautifully warm analogue synthesis and glowing oscillator textures. The diskJokke outing is rather different to all that however, coming across as a bit over-inflated with a slightly frightening line in synth steel drums and big, glossy keyboard riffing that's had certain members of staff running to the hills screaming "The Lightning Seeds are coming!" That Arp makeover is just great though.
