Mere moments after the release of his ‘Hardcourage’ album, FaltyDL returns with standout single ‘She Sleeps’. One of the album’s clear highlights, it pits Drew Lustman’s dusty 4/4s against Friendly Fires bloke Ed MacFarlane’s ghostly falsetto. There’s something unmistakably euphoric about the blend, and this quality is tapped into by the bevvy of remixers who step up to the plate. Our pick of the bunch is Ital, who adds confusion into the mix with crunchy white noise and a Sleeparchive-like sense of industrial darkness, but we also get a retrograde banger from Martyn, a typically restrained mix from Gang Gang Dance and a roller from 2000Black.
