*Digital re-issue of the original vinyl EP on Sleeperhold Publications* Following her split with HTRK and that sumptuous side for Mannequin, Camella Lobo aka Tropic Of Cancer presents the immaculate darkness of 'I Feel Nothing'. The slow motion processional 'A Feast' strokes sombre cello to the wings while Camella incants glossolalic tongues at the altar. 'Wake The Night' paces itself with meditative, stereo fluctuating percussion washed with awning pads and lightless drones, Camella sheltered in the shadows in the corner of the room, facing away from the mic, casting spells and avoiding eye contact. This all feels like preparation for 'Children of a Lesser God', taking centre stage of an empty auditorium somewhere in a parallel Lynchian world to a backing track of plangent guitar heartbreak and brittle drum machine.
