Ralf Cumbers aka Bass Clef moves from one ace Bristol label to another, following his Punch Drunk album with two tracks of cosmic UK house for Idle Hands. 'Dawn Chorus Pedal' oozes squashed and oily bass over the A-side while dusted drums swing cool and nonchalant under gauzy pads and sanguine, star-gazing chords. 'You Don't Know Don't Know You' checks out an equally laidback vibe on the flip, working to some spacious halfstep house/techno/dubstep hybrid with his signature feel for gratifying melody and crisp, well spaced drums. Really strong twelve.
