The label that gave us that awesome debut from FAY returns with the bewitched, goth-tinted dream-pop of Sydney's Castratii. Liela Moss of The Duke Spirit is also their suitably spirited frontwoman vocalist, accentuating their heavy-hearted ambient synth-pop gloom with the right measures of drama and solemnity. Highlights have to be the Zola Jesus-esque industrial pop impact of 'Kingdom'; its inverse, sparse and piano-heavy relation 'Descent'; or the graveyard 4AD atmospheres of 'Low Profile'. Fans of HTRK, Zola J, Fabulous Diamonds should check.
