big mister doom - Tinderbox
Big Mister Doom expands the Fremdtunes remit in one fell swoop with two non-typical cuts of electronic House and jazzy, atmospheric instrumental Hip Hop. His gently rolling 'Tinderbox' sounds not dissimilar to say Floating Points, while 'Wilderness' is a tenderly mellifluous and downbeat instrumental with crisp live drums embellished with fluttering electronic signatures. The Pierce Warnecke remix drops the tempo and adds some greezy funk to 'Tinderbox', while OptiMace adds the sweet vocals of iET and Budy Mokoginta to 'Wilderness' for a plush effect, again recalling the sound of Floating Points.
