cokiyu - Your Thorn
Tender electronic pop music from the Far East, courtesy of Cokiyu and the lovely Flaü label. 'Your Thorn' is Cokiyu's (Yukiko Ito) 2nd solo album for the label, besides her vocal work on Yasuhiko Fukuzono's Aus album 'After All' album and other collaborations with Chloe and Autumnleaf. She uses the programming software Max/MSP to sculpt woodwind, electric guitar and toy instruments into delightful songs which are unmistakably Japanese yet appealing to anyone with an ear for crystalline pop music.
