guido - Micro X / Vessel Dogs
Guido boots up his State Of Joy imprint with two meditative, bleeping Bristol rollers. 'Micro X' is curious fusion of metallic sitar motifs, bubbling synth arpeggios and a mellow halfstep flow, nothing that'll stress the dance, but certainly give it somethign to ponder on for five minutes or so. Flipside 'Vessel Dogs' finds its groove between hulking halfstep and sweeter R&B; stripped kick/snare and tingling hi-hats patterns create a skeletal lattice for piquant harp and clipped guitar strings to mingle and grind.
