synkro - Stop & Think EP
Beautiful Tech-Soul grooves from Manchester's prolific Synkro on his first Millions Of Moments 12". 'Stop & Think' places another star in his steadily growing constellation of aces, conducting a supple 110bpm groove with elegance, warm basswork and utterly delicious, spaced-out synth work approaching recent work from SDC or Boxcutter. Turn it for 'Relapse', working a more typical 2-step flex at a slower tempo with tenderly frayed results, while 'Closed Doors' slips into deepest dubbed-out House akin to recent Kevin McPhee or Floating Points, but with that crisp, signature Synkro finish. Excellent.
