Local Action sign off a sterling year with Throwing Snow's best release to date. These three tracks encapsulate and accentuate all that's great about his sound - acutely emotive arrangement, reserved yet killer rhythms and that ineffable grasp of electronic magic. 'Pyre' balances robust 808 hits with chiming vocal harmonics and widescreen atmospheres, while 'Equuleus' slips into misty-eyed, Footworking melancholia with truly gorgeous synthwork. However, best of all is the two-faced 'Too Polite', drying tears on the dancefloor with a screw-faced 'ardcore drop from the top pocket. This is a baad tune.
