velvit - Chic Anatomy / Den-En-Toshi
Excellent dancefloor electronica from a new member to the Exit fold. Judging by his debut, Velvit evidently shares the same passion for vintage mid-'90s Autechre as dBridge, especially on the 'Amber' era styled 'Chic Anatomy', but the swaggering Electro syncopation is more 2011, in line with Boddika/Instra:mental and co. Equally, there's an IDM classicism to 'Den-En-Toshi', which is all spherical harmonics and crisp, minimal 4/4 beats.
