kahn - Altar - EP
'Altar' was the debut single from Bristol's Kahn, who appeared on Punch Drunk last year with the dancefloor ace 'Like We used To'. However, this one is far more introspective and almost definitely indebted to his city's Trip-Hop godfathers, Massive Attack. You'll hear that in the 3D-esque vox set to paranoid drone and shifty Dubstep on 'Stop Me Dead' or equally the Tricky-meets-Burial vibe on 'Miss You When I'm Drinking', while 'Sepia' is akin to Blakesian 2-step chamber-pop.
