Hugely influential Berlin lynchpin meets Afro-Futurist Dance-Pop in the first of Honest Jon's Shangaan remix series. Forthcoming editions will feature revisions by Anthony Shakir, Oni Ayhun, Peverelist and many more, but the one in question is a superb opening gambit. Ernestus reduces the original's 180bpm ebullience to a suave, almost Kwaito-styled House tick layered with savannah gaze synths and teasing delays resulting in a lushly seductive groove. A version simply reduced this further, leaving traces of velvet-clad bass and scanning synth pads. Butterly lush. Highly recommended.
