Daren Ho follows some very cool releases as part of Cuticle (with Glamorous Pat Maherr and Nimby) and Mandelbrot & Skyy (with Jeff Witscher), with something more indecipherable for Root Strata. Working alone as Driphouse, Daren creates an oddly alluring simulated space where stray layers of bloopy modular synth zig-zag across more placid, reflective piano notes and crooked arpeggios stumble across the stereo field in a sort of strange virtual reality concocted according to the half-baked visions of an experimental AI programmer.
