loose fit - Table Beggar / Magnetise EP
Laidback mid-tempo modern disco-pop songs by Loose Fit, backed with reworks from Ripperton, Manuel Tur, King Of Town and Ruf Dug. 'Table Beggar' grooves out quite sombrely, all minor key piano and melancholy, Radiohead-like vox, but with enough kink and bounce to subtly grip the party. 'Magnetise' is another matter, working up stealthy chords and swirling pads with a cool shuffle. Remix, Ripperton goes all old skool US garage, while Manual Tur goes alternately proggy and jazzily atmospheric, leaving Ruf Dug to do his smudged and hypnotic slow House thing.
