Behind the alias is one Matti Pentikäinen, a Finnish producer based with the Ceebrolistics crew but now cutting out on some clipped and muscular R&BX808 bounce stance. 'Shawty' has been battered on dubplate by Oneman and his posse for a little while now, becoming instantly recognisable for it's seductive female vocal sample and those gorgeously sweeping Northern Light synthlines. Factor in some Air Max-bubble bursting subs and pointillist garage beats and you've a certified winner. Flip over and Falty DL gives it a more slippery 2-Step overhaul, balancing the slick energy between shivering hi-hats, downpitched kicks and hydraulic bass functions with achingly taut precision. BIG tunes!
