Massively impressive debut from multi-instrumentalist talent, Memotone, backed with a smudged House refit by Lukid! Lead track 'Multicolour' is a masterful frisson of crisp and sharp, technicoloured hi-end riffage cushioned by wide subs with a magical, BoC like wow & flutter breakdown, but 'Bellatrix' is more on the Zomby tip, calculated synth arpeggiations running over tumultuous hiphop/double-timed rhythms. In a stroke of A&R genius, Lukid appears on the flip with a cyber-dreamy refit infused with padded 4/4 House kicks while the sugary melody is caramelised into a sticky, shiny residue. Don't sleep on this one!
