daniel savio - Nightmare Food
With his 'Dirty Bomb' LP and seam of individual tracks for Flogsta Danshall and Ramp, Daniel Savio has proved himself to be one of the cannier Skweee operators. Now appearing on a sublabel of Portland's Lo Dubs, he joins the dots between dubstep and Skweee bounce with LFO driven subs, swaggering hiphop funk and Carpenter-esque keys on 'Nightmare', while 'Sleeping Wit' Fish' struts off a lopsided and lo-key club riddim. The production levels are way above your usual Skweee and should slot nicely next to your Hud Mo and Rekordah types. Ace.
