gold panda - Snow & Taxis (Throwing Snow Mix)
'Snow & Taxis' is one of the best tracks from Gold Panda's debut album 'Lucky Shiner'. For the remix session he's roped in the very capable Throwing Snow, fresh off the back of his wicked 12" for Ho Tep, and talented Dutch producer, Glitterbug. The original is one of the album's most dancefloor-sharpened romps, a lushed-out moireé of Axel Willner-style repetition and soft techno tropes, which Throwing Snow duly knocks on it's ass with tighter techno stabs and a frisky future-garage workout. Glitterbug sticks with the more linear pulse of the original, daubing it with warm, atmospheric pads and a shoegazy techno breakdown that Trentemøller would be jealous of. Check that Throwing Snow mix, it's deadly!
