First up on this new Awkward Silence split is Greek artist George Mastrokostas, who plunges us into his heady post-rock universe with 'Not Enough', a slowcore twinkle of crystalline guitars and mumbled, mournful vocals. Following on from this delightfully downbeat jaunt, 'An Old Letter' raises the mood slightly thanks to some rickety drums and wayward bass guitar lines. Landshipping prop up the other side of the release with the reverb-drenched new wave stylings of 'I'm All Yours', whose strange production and wonky tuning prove mightily intriguing. Next comes the more acoustic sounding 'My Fleet', a boy-girl duet with similarly ghostly aspirations,
before the Isan-assisted 'Penguin New Writing' rounds off the release with a little analogue loveliness.
