Making the connection between sandy beaches and silicon coated skweee, Rekordah, Slugabed, Mesak and chums head up 'Tropical Heat Volume.1'. Rekordah's 'Sometimes (I Want To Be)' is one of the highlights, dropping and chopping punchy boogie drums under a swirl of Detroit-scoped synth pads. Next up, Slugabed squeezes every last bit of discordant synthline juice on 'Here You Are' and Mesak's 'Claves Kein' comes off like Jan Hammer writing on a Gameboy.
