Kassem Mosse's material for Workshop and Mikrodisko have made for some of the best house and techno records of the last few years and evidently Instra:mental think the same, signing two of his characteristically deep and twisting future movers to Nonplus. While 'We Speak To Those' is driven by metronomic kicks, the effect is far from strictly linear, twisting the central torque with pitching edits for deadly effect. However, the real gem here is 'Hi Res', making a connection with the raw 808 vibes of Loefah's Swamp81 posse with phased, filtered and stupendously skittery machine rhythms sounding quite unlike anything we've ever heard from him before. No question, this is one of our very favourite dancefloor tracks of the year, strongly recommended to fans of Autechre, Drexciya, Addison Groove or Girl Unit.
