posthuman - Syn Emergence
Posthuman deliver eight tracks of electroid darkness for their Balkan Vinyl imprint. The 'Flat Beat' styled warp bass of 'Brick Head' is as close as they get to garage on this one, while elsewhere we get rumbunctious rave techno on 'Eruder', grizzly electro-tech in 'Mobile Mast' and dubstep/techno fusions in the two parts of 'Stockholm Syndrome'. 'Crone' acutely reminds us of Urban Tribe's recent Planet E transmission and the relatively downbeat pulse of 'Se Ces One' and its strangled Dalek samples gives a neat change of pace. Good EP.
