veronica falls - Beachy Head
Following up their 'Found Love In A Graveyard' single, Veronica Falls continue their fixation on all things moribund, with this ode to Britain's foremost suicide spot. 'Beachy Head' actually turns out to be a tremendously addictive piece of goth-pop - and it's way more fun than you might expect, rattling through great choruses and knowingly schlocky chord changes in the verses. B-side 'Staying Here' is a more sedate, whispery affair, once again sounding a bit ghoulish thanks to its doo-wop-from-the-crypt aesthetics.
