aardvarck - Choice On 12
Eat Concrete drop five a five-track tease of new styles from the King Of The Pigs aka Aardvarck. Following his ace 'Bloom' series, these cuts work with an instrumental palette of post-R'n'B bumps, second hand dubstep shockwaves and the all important pig-funk. On the A-side 'Leuk He!' shakes out booming subs and jiggling R'n'B patterns, while '3 Tot 1 Zonder Toaster' swings from rudest ragga to broken skank. On 'Je Bent Zelf Raar!' he knocks out cold snares, lazer zaps and strings inna rudeboy style, 'Vinnik Zelf Lekker' melts luscious synth pads over sticky subbass gushes and 'Dik' plays blue piano keys over bulbous subs. We don't quite know what the hell this is, but it's seriously seriously heavy. Essential.
