Heralding the return of one of Morr Music's best love bands, 'Remember' is the first single to be lifted from Lali Puna's much anticipated Our Inventions album. Valerie Trebeljahr fronts a beautifully crafted network of electronics and pop hooks, with guitars, tuned percussion, drum machines and samples all slotting together elegantly like the workings of some beautiful old clock while she and Markus Acher deliver a whispery duet. Typical of this band's work, 'Remember' is at once wonderfully melodic and a meticulously crafted production - a perfect warm-up for the imminent full-length. Over on the B-side you get exclusive non-album cut 'See The Wood For The Trees', which hits the mark with another multi-layered mix, filled with detailed digital textures, modulated vibraphone loops and neatly constructed drum patterns, all sculpted into a fluently melancholic brand of motorik pop music. It's good to have these guys back.
